Hey Tom,

After seeing your car, I'd say you should try to clean all the collected dirt from under the rear window seal and make sure you don't see any rust under there. Then you could use butyl rubber sealant and run a bead under the seal all the way around the window.

DON'T USE SILICONE!!! It will cause rust by trapping corrosive moisture as it cures. It contains acetic acid (vinegar).
