But I'm starting to find out she didn't keep up machanically. I have drove the car 3,500 miles since I bought it, around the 2,500 mile marker I noticed it started to grind a bit going into 3rd and 4th. Then last night coming home I was at a stoplight, went into first then when I went to shift into second, it wouldn't go, I tried a couple different times then shifted into third and then up to fourth, I tried on several more occations to get it into second, but no avail, any ideas? is it a simple fix or does it require a rebuild?

might be shifter bushings or something simple, try checking the transmission fluid.
