OK, this may be contributing in a big way towards my problem as I do not have this panel......when I bought the car several years ago, the engine was essentially destroyed b/c of a thrown rod....oil had drenched the sound panels so they were tossed by the mechanic when the new (good used) engine was installed.

Can anyone tell me where I could pick up these panels ? Are they different for the E300 vs. the E320 ? I am also wondering what kind of hardware is required to install them
