I believe you said the CPS fixed it fora short while. Maybe it wasn't the CPS, but the connector for the CPS - backed out pin, frayed wire, etc... I think that you might be money ahead at this point to take it up to Tucker, GA and have M. B. Doc fix it for you - having the proper test equipment will make the difference, as Arthur says, a scope on the CPS sensor when the car is failing would show whether or not that is the problem.
