Okay -- here is the deal. A 1988 w124 300TE showed up in the boneyard --- the boneyard that crushes cars in about 45 days. With Thanksgiving and Christmas approaching, I will probably have only 2 opportunities to visit this car before it gets crushed.
The car has 201K miles on it; yes it is an E (gasser) and has Palamino interior. I don't have pics, so I'll go from my usual "failing" memory:
- Don't remember the sun visors.
- The 2nd row seats look a bit worn on the backs of the door "seating" passenger areas.
- All three of the 2nd row headrests are in place.
- The cargo area net and cover assembly is in tack.
- The 3rd row seat is pristine.
- I removed the tailer hitch (sleeve type; no ball) from the frame; have all the hardware; plus the trailer lights hookup -- will post pics later.
- The shifter console wood was okay --- no peeling wood, but normal cracked lines in the finish.
- SLS and hydraulic struts are in place.
- All door and cargo panels are in place.
- Looked like an old fender bender in the front passenger side corner.
- Don't have a clue why it is in the bone yard.
