I have a non-technical item to pass along..
Best I can do since I'm not a certified mechanic.
A 3' galvanized pipe, available at most hardware store plumbing section and large enough to slip over the factory supplied L-shaped tire iron, makes a world of difference when loosening the lug nuts. Even the most stubbon ones will turn with very little effort.
This could save a lot of time as I think most of time involved in removing a wheel is taken up initially loosening the lug nut.
Make sure to keep the end caps that usually come with the pipes.
It is now part of the trunk tool kit in the 300SD.
A 4' one would work better, ofcourse, if it's not going to be carried in the car.
And, no, I do not own a compressor and air wrench.
