I have looked at that but don't have the fitting that the dealers use and haven't been able to come up with an invention that would do the same thing. It would be marginally less messy, since your tubing wouldn't get oily on the outside. It might suck the oil out a little faster since you could use larger diameter tubing. However, that might not gain any time over all. I find that after I have "all" of the oil sucked out of a warm engine, if I leave it sit for a while I can get a little more out – a little more oil flows and drips down off of the parts and pieces inside the crankcase.
I have a small vacuum pump (surplus from the semiconductor industry) that I have been tempted to attach to my oil sucker. It would save some pumping.
