Talk about expensive, the 500E is brutal if not taken care of and brutal when it is taken care of. Your wagon is sorted and you know/trust it so I'd keep it, plus it won't cost nearly as much to keep on the road as the 500. If you plan on flipping it, you'd better get a swinging deal because there are a lot of 500E's on the market and their prices are dropping. The $4.50 gas made a lot of people see the light.
