I know tire rack is a sponser of this site. I looked at the prices and they look really good. New tires for less than a 4 year old set someone is trying sell on craigslist (the same tire!)

The reason I didn't go that route is because of shipping. They ship UPS. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH UPS!! I can guarantee you they will want extra money at the door. If you decide to pay this, make sure to get a recipit. I have had to threaten legal action against them several times, and they have sent false claims against me to collections. A quick look at thier rip-off schedule shows that they will want about $40 for brokerage fees, not the $20 quoted.

I hope it will go ok. Make sure anyone answering the door knows to not give money. If you refuse, they will most likely just leave the package. It is just a way to make a few more quick bucks. I even suspect that the drivers pocket some of the money.

Let me know how it goes.

As for me, I actually found a set at the local Canadian tire. It's a small town so I guess they haven't seen a big rush.
