A Helmet might damage the Hood!!!
So far my Head has healed up nicely.
I cannot put my Hood straight up and down as where the Hood Hinge attaches behind the Battery Tray rusted through and pulled out. So right now I prop the hood open with a stick.
This is why I never may have a Hood pad on my car as there are a lot of other problems that need work that are more important.
The only use I can see for the Hood Pad is it Deadens the sound and I guess in Winter helps to hold some heat in the Engine Compartment. After that I guess it is just cosmetic.
