My only advise is to stay away from the Land Rover Discovery. My wife has a 98 one and we are not very pleased with it.
To many weird things with it, problems with the ABS system and oil consumption at 38K miles.
The customer service at the dealer ( Redondo Beach, CA ) is terrible. It took me three visits to get repaired the headrest on the drivers sit that was loose and every time I adjust it I ended with it on my hands.
Defenitely not a reliable car for the money.
