That is exactly what I used on mine for a short drive. Just check to make sure the weight of the locking pliers doesn't snap the old line off at the injector or pull it off. If it wants to pull off, trim down the tip that connects to the injector a little so that there is a tighter fit, and less chance of the pliers pulling it off.
...Don't ask me how I discovered that old line + locking pliers + gravity = might only work for five minutes before pulling off at the injector.
