I think the scientific term is ****buddies.

The term "friends with benefits" has varying degrees of severity and by-laws, though. Guys tend to like this approach to relationships more than women do, but I know a lot of women who like the no-strings business as well. I think most high school relationships are "friends with benefits." I mean not a lot of kids are pondering marriage in the 10th grade. I think just the terminology has changed over the years.
