Okay, in the spirit of making Coda better, I've made the following list of things to repair\fix\make better:
- Injection Pump delivery valve seals -- fuel leaks
- Vacuum Pump replacement -- have a new type pump
- Idler Arm -- have replacement parts
- Motor Mounts --- diesel on driver's side mount
- Passenger Side rear door trim squeek and missing piece between windows
- Brake Fluid flush
- K2 spring kit in Transmission, transmission filter, fluid
- Antenna
- iPod connection
- repainting
- Memory on Driver's Seat
- ck front end squeeks
- other interior\cosmetic wood changes.
Can anyone see anything else I should do while I'm doing any of the above? I recently checked the glow plugs and the resistance readings are all good, but while I'm doing the IP delivery valves, should I just replace the glow plugs, too?
Additions to list:
Chain stretch and IP timing
Current Mileage 208,584; Born in 07/1986 --- guess I better get busy if I'm going to get all that done before the Texas GTG, huh? Anyone want to help?
Edit: Here are just a few of the FIRST pics, I took of Coda --- in 2008. Please notice the air filter change. The first things I did when I got her were, new air filter, oil change (always with a new filter), diesel purge, new primary filter, new secondary (spin on) filter, treat the tank with Starton, replace all the fuel return lines (major leaks), and go drive the thing like a bat out of hell.
What lies ahead inside?
And how will I be able to read that radio? My fingers will never fit those little buttons while I'm driving.
At least she did have a brand new battery and a fairly new hood pad.
