I have gotten lots of buildup visible in the fuel filler neck and lots of black specs clogging my inline filters...and I always mix with diesel and RUG but still get what I think is polymerization.
I had those black kind of filament in my pre filter as well, I was told it was because the oil wasn't filtered down to 5 micrond minimum ( I was getting the oil already filtered ), it was true, now I do it my self and down to 1 micron, no more black mesh into the filter.
