Update:

hey all,

Ok, I accepted that the trans had to be removed and decided to tow it over to a friends shop. For the power steering, heat and brakes, when I was towing with a strap and engine running I decided to throw it into gear...well, low and behold it started to have a lil power but the trans was clearly slipping badly.

As for my question...with the car running, in gear and being towed down the road would the pump end up turning/pumping from the turning of the driveshaft???

Not real sure how to take the fact that the trans is not making pressure at the lines, shifts into gear but when towed down the road the trans did more than simply sit and spin...lol

Please, if you have any ideas at all...I am begging, I dont wanna pull it out unless I have to.

Thanks all,

Dave
