I eventually got my head around the fitting of the belts and the job is now done.
Thanks to Geof a.k.a pizzachef I would have really struggled without the pdf he emailed me with the tightening and loosening sequence.

I do have a major concern as to how close the fan/ water pump belt is getting to the adjusting nut. There is very, very little clearnence here and I am worried that the belt will catch and snap again???

Any advice here???
