Right or wrong, the 'issues' are what kept me from buying a seemingly very nice '92 400E w about 115K on it a couple of weeks ago for $4500.

It had been updated with the Euro headlights, Koni's, H&R sport springs, aftermarket wheels etc.

But being a 400E/E420 newbie, I knew I didn't yet know enough yet about 'the issues' to make a confident purchase. No maintenance history other than the last 3 years with the current owner, who put a water pump and motor mounts in.
