You know, if the car is in really nice shape, I'd just go ahead and order a reman engine from MB and forget about it. I know that if I ever have any kind of major oil consumption problems with my SD (W116 chassis) or anything like that, I am going to just do a reman engine either from MB or Metric Motors. Remember, reman engine would be much cheaper to do than buy a new car!
