Hmmm. In any respect , looks like I need to check out the modulator ,at least the lines for leaks, thanks

If the modulator is leaking vacuum from the hose connector or O-ring as mine was, shifting will be a hard jolt between gears. My O-ring crumpled in my fingers upon removal. I proceeded to adjust plunger the wrong way and the shift went very mushy, felt like it was slipping or just not engaging gears properly. I adjusted 2 notches the other way and all was good. I believe CCW was softer, CW was firmer, but don't quite remember for sure.
