The price guide I have has that car worth between $4000-$60000 US, probably in the lower end of that range. Forgive me for not knowing the current exchange rate. I'm also assuming that it's really a 350SL with a 4.5L engine. The value gets a little boost because it's the first year of the chassis.

The big question, though, is do you have the time and energy to put into it (and the resources)? It's probably not worth it if you have to pay someone else to do the bulk of the work on it.

I walk away from cars that have rust problems. But then, I live in Texas, so rust isn't a big problem around here. Rust is a lot more common in your area, so maybe you're more comfortable with it.
