Learned MY lesson, that's for sure. I use a squeeze-bulb siphon now.
I can taste it now it left such an impression on me.

Back on topic... Ever change the oil filter on a K1500? It sits directly above the left front axle and U-joint. I always get a nice stream of old HOT oil going down my arm. Then the rest of it hits the U-joint (keeping it lubricated) and heads off in any direction -- usually away from the drip pan under the truck

My SD leaked so much oil I considered it rust proofing!
