Oh Man can we forget about G-80? What a crock of crap that was... It was way worse than Lost in Space ever was, At least LiS had Dr Smith, G-80 had nothing...Good thing it only lasted what five episodes?
I still vote for the new BSG. It seemed real as if it could be happening to us here and now. I especially liked the 1970's tech base but with FTL drives... They needed to re-adapt from the robotics of the Cylons. It was when they forgot about the threat and went back to more 'modern' networking and computers that they got in trouble.
By the way... I liked Athena and Cassiopeia from the old show and The #8s and Dee from the new one...
