Since all diesel available at retail gas stations in Oregon is B5, I am technically using biodiesel to soak some parts. If I were to use B99 (available about 3 miles from my house in Portland) I would be careful to make sure none of the parts had natural rubber attached, as well as not wearing latex gloves commonly available at parts stores. The lye used in B99 will eat pinstriping off the finish of cars, as well as MB fuel filler tube grommets, or basically anything that is not Viton or EPDM. Nitrile will hold up for a while but eventually succumbs to the corrosive nature of the stuff.
