It's rebuildable. There are a couple of good threads on the rebuild process over at the
www.m-100.cc site.
I'd recommend finding a used compressor and swapping this one out. If the used one is better, then you have plenty of time to do a rebuild.
It's basically a one cylinder engine w/o the overhead and troubles caused by fuel.
