With gas being cheap again, econo-diesels like this one will have a hard time making it to the US, where people still generally prefer size and power over economy. Hope for $5 gas, and we might see more cars like this here.

EDIT: On second thought, if the EPA starts regulating CO2 emissions, cars like this will have a better chance of making it here even if gas isn't very expensive.
