Today I installed a front Dome Light with a MAP LIGHT. The map light is helpful in which it directs light to a small area for reading instead of lighting up the whole cabin. Great for not bothering your sleeping passengers
. I seem to find these lights off a the 1984-1986 w201 190. It is a great upgrade for the later w123's with the timer delay Dome Light and 1st gen w126's.
EDIT: Based on MBeige's following post, I would think the map light was offered as an option.
