What make you think it is the blower drawing too much current?

1) Is the fuse the correct amperage?
2) I would never put a higher amperage fuse, inside or outside the fuse box. You could do more damage as the fuse is suppose to burn when overloaded.
3) Have you tried another correct rated fuse and run the fan at low speed?
4) Blower is easy to replace just below the glove box. Is it damaged?
5) The blower is on a separate fuse in the 300SDL. An external fuse, hard to find PITA flat fuse just outside the fuse box. I would imagine it is the same as the 300SD.

I do not know what is fuse 11 for off hand. I will take a look this evening.
