Really, I don't think you'd ever find a worthy replacement for a Benz of any model you've been driving. Even if you were to hop into another new 190 2.6, you'd find the characteristics different from what you'd been used to.

But if you're really bent on looking at alternative to replace the 2.6 you already have, the closest you might find is the C220. Forewarned, you would expect a higher maintanence tag wth the W202s in terms of an occasional wiring problem, costlier parts, and cheaper interior quality.

Hang on to your 190 for its classic value.
