I do have the blue VPC sticker on the drivers side corner, which means it is probably the original windshield. Did the Canadian market cars not come with the stickers when delivered? For the 1989 model year what should the sticker read? Is it a Daimler Benz product or Mercedes-Benz product?
Can't say how Canadian cars were delivered, but it seems likely that they did not have the white label on the passenger side ("A Daimler-Benz Product"). According to the EPC, the label is for USA cars only. That doesn't mean you can't order one, but does seem to indicate that they were not original equipment in the Canadian market. P/n 115-584-06-40. Interestingly, USA cars of your vintage did not come with the blue driver side sticker.
