Thanks for the replies... well it dont sound to major. Yeah, I looked and the floor mat is in place, but I will double check.

I took a chance and drove the car back to town and it was the same story... it would be fine one minute, then hard to press again, then it would all of a sudden it would flop down fast. Very annoying.

So is replacing it pretty self exclamatory?

Any special tools needed? Anything under the hood have to be disconnected?

This kinda happened at a good time, because I would not even be driving the car again until next Sunday, because I am going out of town this weekend and getting a rental and next week I work all week and drive the Lexus.
