We've entered our usual summer slowdown, seed has been sowed and fertilizer has been spread until the fall. Some heat and humidity to get those turf diseases and insects wreaking havoc would be nice.
I've been waiting for a logger with a cherry picker to come pick up a 25'L x 3' dia. section of old pine that came down in Friday's tornado. It's clear, no branches from the base to 18'. I'd hate to just cut it up since there's a lot of good lumber in it, but if the clown doesn't get it today/tomorrow I'm just going to cut it up and dump it with my other limbs and brush. I understand that they're busy with other big trees in town but you wouldn't think sticking to a time window would be that difficult (he was supposed to be at my house at noon).
