My light isn't always on, but comes on quite frequently. My mechanic said it has something to do within the steering wheel, is an expensive fix, and not really anything to be too concerned about.

When it comes on, there is nothing I can do to get it to go off, other than shut down the engine and remove the key. It's off more than it is on, so it doesn't bother me much. I understand that the light coming on generates a code, so you can have your mechanic read the codes and figure out what is wrong with your car.
