Hi All,

Another problem on my 1998 C200 Manual transmission - will it ever end...

For a while now I have been hearing a clunk at the rear when I take my foot off the gas and again when I put my foot back on to accelerate.

At low speed driving in traffic this goes along with the car jerking each time I take my foot off the gas and again when I put my foot back on.

It is impossible to drive the car smoothly in traffic.

Please help with ideas of what this could be and how I go about diagnosing it.
