The 300D n/a has a higher rear end than the turbocharged so expect it to rev 3000 rpm @ 60 and 3700 @ 75, flairing is useally low tranny fluid or it's tome for a tranmy oil and filter change, these cars has 4 gears, it starts at 2 nd gear b/c it suppose to save fuel.... And also back then highway speed limit was 55 mph and the cars engine rpm = +- 2500 Rpm. As far as climate control they are probally the worst type ever placed in a Mercedes I would jury rig it if it dose not work
