We're into our end of the fiscal year craziness (ends 9/30) so we're into the combination of getting all possible orders filled, delivered and billed before next Wednesday and doing inventory while product is still being sold out of the store. Good times.
School picinic tonight and then CT's 5th Annual Down Syndrome Congress Buddy Walk tomorrow with lots of friends and family walking in honor of my little man, Garrett. It's the CDSC's main fundraising event so hopefully they have a great turnout, looks like the weather will cooperate this year.
And Sunday is our town's 375th Anniversary parade and we're hosting a party since we're right on the parade route. All of the tailgating equipment will be put to good use on the front lawn. I was supposed to march with the Yacht Club (in name only
) but I'm leaning towards partying. The weather looks sketchy in the AM but it's
supposed to clear out by noon. There is a rain date for next Sunday but I'm not sure when they'll make the call.

My children are all grown and I have been missing the good times we used to have doing things together, so this has come at a perfect time in my life. This little boy has had a very rough life. His adopted mother literally saved his life, but taking him in. He's a great kid and I am looking forward to having a kid to do things with once again.
