My folks live in western Mary-land, yes, them trees have a mind of their own! My old man (84) did an opposite lock slide into some wood in a Volvo last year.
I vote you try to fix it too, Potomac Auto can't be far from you and I know they have .036 bits.
...it would have to be a labor of love as the love won't be the form of an insurance check though. I actaully have a used front bumper if you decide to fix it up.
