Paint overspray

I recently had a dent repaired from a parking mishap on my '89 300CE. The body shop that did the work also painted the car on one side to blend and match the paint to the rest of the car. However, I've now noticed that the car has overspray. I can see it on the front window and if I take my hand over the side that was not painted I can feel that the surface is now course. How often does this happen? What is the shop's obligation to me? Should they attempt to fix it or should they pay to take it to a detailing shop? What is involved in removing the overspray?
