It should be level with the front end. Measure from the ground to the jack holes in the front and set the rear so it's the same. I will look through my manuals when I get home.
Also the car should be on level ground. I've notice with all my 123s and various other old MB's that depending on what kind of ground it's sitting on they look like they are lower in the front or rear.

Thanks, I would think that tire pressure could affect this measurement as well so I will check pressure before and after taking these measurements
