If you're in the NE, there's been one for sale on and off on ebay. Probably what you got PM'd about.
Any sedan motor will drop in, once you swap out the oil pan and the oil filter assembly. An early 380 or 500 is an excellent upgrade. A 6.9 is a super-poor choice. A 450se/sel from 1976 on is as close to original as you can get and still be from a sedan.
