Just to keep everyone else up to date.

I contacted the place Chris recommended and they said $400 for a used part. dealer quoted me $628 but they also said if the steering angle sensor they replaced didn't fix the problem I should bring it back in and let them look at it they may be able to credit me part of the Steering angle sensor money toward the new sensor... the key phrase there is "may be". still looking around for a better price.
