I noticed in earlier posts that you like to put down a coat of #20 Polymer Sealant, and then a coat of #16 over that. You then finish off by applying #7 over the #16.

Is there any benefit to laying down Polymer Sealant and than applying Medallion? Would you be increasing the shine, gloss or durability by doing this? Or is this a waste of time because Medallion is good enough by itself?

Can #7 be applied as a top coat over anything? I don't really understand it. I've learned that polishes go under wax. I called the 800 number at Meguiar's and was told that polish obliterates the layer of wax that is already on the car.

In your opinion is the benefit of #7 basically extra gloss and depth?
