The ALDA is in the way!?

I bought my 1980 300sd the other day and I started to realize a possible vacuum leak due to hard shifting and the car not shutting off. I then realized that my motor was missing the vacuum module on the top back of the ip that goes to the transmission.

Luckily my parts motor had the unobtainium part that my motor was missing. Anyway, when I go to install the part it seems as though the ALDA is in the way. I am guessing that it would just need to be turned ccw slightly to allow the installation of the vacuum module.

I would guess that loosening the large nut under the alda would allow me to rotate the alda jusr enough. I just happen to not have the right size wrench to turn the large nut. Before heading to the parts store I am wondering if I am heading in the right direction. Also, does anyone know the size of that nut?

Thanks
