sure you can swap the brake booster but then you also have to swap the powersteering pump as it has an extra port for the hose to the hydraboost.all diesel pickups and subs 1/2,3/4 and 1 tons use the hydraboost as the diesel makes no vacuum.thing about em is if the engine dies you lose brakes now not after a couple pumps of the pedal like vac brakes.if i was looking for one i'd look at the 95's.they are the last year of the obd-I system,and first year of the new style dash.i had a 92 and it loved snow.
