Hi! First post here. I went with individual pods on my old car, 4 on the pillar, 2 on the column, and 2 in the ash tray location. Too many gauges for a generic pod to take care of my needs.

The pillar looked great until I caught the topmost gauge with my head, then it looked ok. I had to move the gauge down a bit for a better mounting location. Angle was never just right with them anyway, but it worked well enough to not be noticed generally.

Currently working on making myself a more refined pillar pod for this, the individual pods are very hard to clean, and the pillar is not a great long term attachment place.

The column was a great place, if you had an aftermarket steering wheel, I could see as many as 4, but two fit very nicely with the oem wheel. Ash tray also worked pretty well, but again, as said earlier in the thread, not a great place to constantly be looking while driving. Better location for less important gauges.

my 2 cents.
