My car has been quiet for so long I got spoiled. Over the past 2 weeks the "Air Cleaner Buzz" found its way back. The first time it was a cracked mount. So, I replaced the mount. The second time I had to replace the little rubber mounts. Then the housing developed a crack in the side where it was contacting the throttle bracket. Probably from the bad little rubber mounts.
So, I took the housing off again to try and figure out where in the hell the noise is coming from. After I pulled the air cleaner, I realized that it could be the cracked housing that was the root of the problem. So, I drilled holes on each end of the crack and put it back on the car. ARGHHH!!! The stupid "Buzz" was still there. Off it comes again and I realized that plastic lid on top of the PCV can was loose. I tapped the little tabs down, put it all back together and it's fixed.
Now I just have to get that stupid crack welded.
