If you will check the technical bulletins which have come out concerning your car you may find that they suggest replaceing the trailing arm bushings... if the front ones become compressible then the back one acts like a fulcrum ,...letting the forward part of the arm whack the bottom of the car... makes a pretty good thump when that happens...
