Question windshield base moulding question.

i just had my windshield replaced and it looked like as good a job as last time. the shop owner mumbled something about the lower seals being replaced so i did a cursory visual check. i noticed that the base molding was lifting up like ears right where it meets the semi-circular portion around the monoblade. it looked like the tech had glued the semicircular portion down to the glass but didn't glue it down there. that circular portion is part of the boot that protects the monoblade motor and i'm concerned that water and dirt could get in there. is there a trick to this? did the windshield guy do something wrong? they are going to try and seal those spots but now i'm wondering...
