Did more research theyre putting them in nissans and renaults 2.0 diesel with mercedes interested in using them in bluetec systems. Checking prices on other ceramics it looks as if they would be 20 - 30 dollars a piece.
On another note VW tdi engines are using ceramics as we speak with a big recall switching them back to steel ones. It seems the tips are breaking off.
I guess all things "better" are not always the best !
When I saw that they where starting low compression diesels it gave me a sense of hope . Fabricating an adapter is a whole lot simpler than an engine change.
I thought there was hope of weening mine off the plug .
