To some it may seem that I use a lot of words.

I hope that is not correct. Over the last five years since I started writing (mostly on the internet), I have made many attempts to improve the readability of my writing. The single most important consideration to me is to use the smallest number of words possible to convey an idea.

The fact that I choose to explain my answers rather than just give them is not IMHO contrary to that goal.
